Trend Thursday

Men's Fashion Week in Paris.

This week in Paris, Men's Fashion Week was ocurring and so I decided to highlight some of my favorite male looks. Often, men's fashion doesn't seem to get the recognition it deserves. Female fashion tends to be the centre of attention most of the time and we forget that men too portray exuberant trends in the fashion world. Top designers such as Marc Jacobs, Christian Louboutin and Karl Lagerfeld (just to name a few) are all iconic male designers. Men like these should be graciously thanked and applauded for making fashion what it is today. Without them, we wouldn't have the opportunity to frolic around & lavish ourselves in couture gowns, stilettos & fragrances.
Here are a few looks I'm absolutely loving....

...and the letterman jacket comes back into play.
Loving the layered look...works for guys too!
In LOVE with the texture of this suit. The pop of color for the "briefcase" is amazing as well.
Had to put this up. Shows us that no matter what age you may be, always dress to impress:)
Nice alternative to wearing a plain-jane suit. Looks more casual yet still sophisticated & chic.

Congrats to all the gorgeous men and talented designers that made yet another Men's Fashion Week happen!

The Buttoned-up Blouse.

This look is easily overtaking the fashion world and can be seen in fashion shows, magazines, and editorials. I've tried incorporating this into my wardrobe but have not fully become accustomed to it. For some, it looks incredibly chic and innocent while still looking ultra trendy. Guys too can work this into their wardrobe as it isn't that much different than a usual collared button-up-except you actually button it up all the way:) If you're feeling rebelious, try it out.

Artistic Simplicity.

I find that it's hard to get rid of clutter and live a simplistic life. We often hold on to past treasures that make us remember certain events. When seeing this particular blog post, I was inspired to try again to live that life of ease & comfort and forget about stuffing as many frivolous items into my living space. Not sure if it's going to last though...

Leather Bottoms

Leather It Up.

It makes me excited to see that leather is still a serious trend in the fashion world. It makes a great alternative to black pants or skirt as leather can be easily dressed up or or made casual when paired with a graphic tee. The comfort of the stretch and the rocker chic look of the fabric is the ultimate duo for this iconic looking style.

Zipper It Up.
This trend has been current for the last year or so. I love that a tiny detail such as a couple inches of zipper can make an article of clothing appear unique and trendy. Whether zipped up or down, it changes the entire look yet still keeping the style fresh & fabulous.

Studded Flats.

I meant to post this yesterday but have been swamped with work and totally forgot-oops! Discovered these rad studded flats a few weeks ago when I was doing my daily blog browse. They are super unique and edgey and also easy to dress up or down an outfit. Love it when shoes are the main accessory which makes the outfit pop.

Festive Lighting.

As Christmas is fast approaching, it's time to start decorating and getting into the Christmas spirit! I've been wanting to decorate my place but feel like I have a tight budget to spend on frivolous purchases - until today when I spotted this picture. These simple Christmas lights hung on a bare wall adds complete holiday glamour on a low budget. Looks festive, modern and unique.
Absolutely Perfect.
